In 2001 Dmitry graduated from the International Law Faculty of Moscow State Institute of International Relations cum laude. Ph.D. in law since 2004. In 2012 he completed a mediator training course at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In 2004 – 2016 Dmitry practiced as attorney at top Moscow-based law firms, with a focus on foreign trade and arbitration issues. He is now of-counsel at Lexicom Law bureau.
Dmitry teaches international arbitration, law of international trade and transportation law at top Russian, Belarusian and Uzbekistan Universities since 2012.
In 2017, he was included in the list of arbitrators of the Maritime Arbitration Commission at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (MAC). In 2017 - 2019, he was the Executive Secretary of the MAC.
Dmitry has participated as an arbitrator in more than 55 arbitral proceedings, including under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), ICAC and MAC at the RF CCI and other leading arbitration institutions. He resolved disputes in the field of merchant shipping, including in connection with general average, towing, transportation and marine insurance (since 2017).
Dmitry is on the lists of arbitrators of Hong Kong and Dubai International Arbitration Centres, Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (China), and many other.
